The Emotional Intelligence Style Profile (EISP) is designed to help participants understand the way to apply their emotional intelligence style, preferences, and behavior in any given situation. This then helps participants understand how they can make adjustments to be more effective in the future – personally as well as professionally.

During The Emotional Intelligence Style Profile, each person uses his or her emotions and intelligence in their unique ways. Plus, with one style not being any better or worse than another, there are no "right" or "wrong" responses.

How It Works

Participants will learn about four primary emotional intelligence styles:

  1. Conceptual
  2. Reflective
  3. Organized
  4. Empathetic

Everyone can use these four styles, but the objective of the Emotional Intelligence Style Profile is understanding how to use the most appropriate style in the right situation. This instrument will help you determine the degree of balance you display in your emotional intelligence. This new awareness can be used to enhance individual flexibility by increasing the repertoire of emotional responses available. Managers, trainers, consultants, and professionals from all walks of life will benefit personally and professionally from improving their emotional intelligence. The assessment booklet includes coaching suggestions on how to use each style most effectively.

Uses and Applications

The Facilitator Guide enables a trainer to lead a half to a full day workshop administering, scoring, and interpreting the Emotional Intelligence Style Profile. The workshop covers a wide range of theories explaining the linkages between thinking, acting, and emotions. Each of four emotional intelligence styles is explored, and then participants learn how these styles deploy through specific competencies that can be learned and improved.

Learning Outcomes

Participants will become aware of the degree of balance they display among the four styles of communication from their assessment scores. The workshop teaches the positive uses for each style, and participants learn a structure for understanding and improving their behavioral responses to emotional and intellectual triggers.
