How It Works

Through the use of an assessment, energizing game, and five experiential activities, supervisors discover essential supervisory skills for success. By doing so, team leaders examine their supervisory skill strengths and potential areas of improvement. Supervisors then use their newly-acquired knowledge and information to enhance their use of the five effective supervisory skills through several experiential activities.

The five supervisory skills include:

  1. Guiding the work
  2. Organizing the work
  3. Developing direct reports
  4. Managing performance
  5. Managing relations

Uses and Applications

The purpose of the Supervising with Confidence workshop is to provide supervisors with a working knowledge and understanding of the five fundamental supervisory skills. It accomplishes this task by offering supervisors a rare opportunity to examine their supervisory skill strengths as well as those skills that require improvement.
