Supervising With Confidence
HRDQ One-Day Workshop Series
The role of your supervisors changes dramatically because of constant developments within your company. Today's frontline leaders need practical, skill-specific training to meet growing on-the-job demands – and Supervising with Confidence delivers precisely the tools they need.
Supervising with Confidence allows participants a chance to examine their strengths and areas for improvement, as well as practice strategies within critical skill areas. By gaining experience in guiding their work, organizing their work, developing staff, managing performance, and managing relations, supervisors will be ready to put their enhanced skills into action.
How It Works
Through the use of an assessment, energizing game, and five experiential activities, supervisors discover essential supervisory skills for success. By doing so, team leaders examine their supervisory skill strengths and potential areas of improvement. Supervisors then use their newly-acquired knowledge and information to enhance their use of the five effective supervisory skills through several experiential activities.
The five supervisory skills include:
- Guiding the work
- Organizing the work
- Developing direct reports
- Managing performance
- Managing relations
