How It Works

The LPI helps individuals appreciate how others see their leadership behavior and understand how to use that information to become the most effective leader possible. A short, 10-step assessment guides participants through the process of understanding their LPI feedback report. Readers are then provided instructions, information, questions, and forms to record their observations and interpretations while analyzing feedback and developing personal action plans.

Uses and Applications

The LPI gives participants the skills to master the five practices of the Exemplary Leadership Model:

  1. Model the way
  2. Inspire a shared vision
  3. Challenge the process
  4. Enable others to act
  5. Encourage the heart

Use the LPI to:

  • Examine first impressions
  • Explore consistences and seek clarifications
  • Find patterns and listen for messages
  • Focus on your developmental efforts
  • Imagine your ideal future self
  • Overcome barriers and concerns

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this assessment, participants will:

  • Understand how not develop effective leadership skills
  • Measure leadership competencies
  • Comprehend the five practices of the Exemplary Leadership Model
  • Discover how to apply practices to organizational challenges
