Diversity Works Game

Winner
2018 Portland Business Journal INNOVATION Award

Diversity Works received the 2018 Portland Business Journal INNOVATION Award. Diversity Works is an interactive, in-person diversity workshop designed to bring awareness of diversity and inclusion concepts to your workplace. Part experiential, part social, and part emotional, it comes with everything you need – a setup guide, facilitator’s guide, and the activity and participant materials – all in one convenient box, to explore and absorb new ideas around inclusivity and diversity with confidence and empathy.

The activities cover a range of interaction styles (solo, paired, or team), learning methods (visual, auditory, hands-on, contemplative, competitive, or problem-solving), and tech options (basic or advanced). Once the initial phase wraps up, participants come together for a group activity, diving into a diversity and inclusion board game to cap off the session.

To facilitate the game, set up activity stations around the room for learners to decide which learning activities they want to participate in. Regardless of the activities participants choose, they will achieve the same learning outcomes.

  • Understanding self – Describe what makes you the unique individual you are.
  • Understanding others – Recognize what makes others the unique individuals they are.
  • Communication – Consider differences and act respectfully.

Diversity Works comes in a ready-to-go kit prepared for you to deliver your brain-friendly, hands-on, interactive diversity workshop. Each kit includes materials for up to 25 participants.

Introduce this game in your workplace, and see the impact it has!

Here's what people are saying about Diversity Works:

"When others shared their personal experiences, this helped me consider differing perspectives and learn to be more open-minded."

"What’s really great about this is that I can run it. I need a handful of people, but I don’t need outside expertise to run this workshop."
